NATIXIANs, we're deep into summer now, and June brought a quieter rhythm than usual. That's not because things slowed down: it's because we've been heads-down preparing for a stretch of news we're genuinely excited to share soon.
Nevertheless, we still released another awesome article, extended the staking benefits, and continued to collect more data that will power the future of Physical AI. Without further ado, let's jump right into the June update.
We've now collected over 183K hours of multi-camera driving footage. This number keeps compounding month after month, as real-world multi-camera footage is one of the highest-value assets we can offer to Physical AI and autonomy teams building the next generation of models. This is especially true with World Foundation Models being on the rise as the next big step in AI innovation, and NATIX is at the forefront of making that data available.
This month, we published a new article, "The Expert Driver Problem: Why Perfect Drivers Make Worse Models." It digs into a core challenge in autonomous driving data: how training models purely on flawless driving behavior can actually hurt these models’ performance in the real world.
The edge cases, small mistakes, and imperfect maneuvers captured by everyday drivers are exactly what make models robust when they hit the messiness of the real world. It's one of our clearest explanations yet of why diverse, real-world driving data matters so much for building safer autonomy, and why NATIX's approach is built around exactly that.
